आवत गारी एक है, उलटन होय अनेक ।
कह कबीर नहिं उलटिये, वही एक की एक ॥

An insult comes as one. Answer it and it becomes many. Do not answer, says Kabir, and it stays one.

गाली आती है तो एक ही होती है, पलटकर जवाब दो तो अनेक हो जाती हैं। मत पलटो, तो वह एक की एक रहेगी।
