जब मैं था तब हरि नहीं, अब हरि हैं मैं नाहिं।
प्रेम गली अति साँकरी, तामें दो न समाहिं।।
Meaning · English
When I was, God was not. Now God is, and I am not. The lane of love is very narrow, and two cannot fit in it.

जब तक मैं था तब तक हरि नहीं थे, अब हरि हैं तो मैं नहीं। प्रेम की गली बहुत तंग है, उसमें दो नहीं समा सकते।
