Meaning · English
Six students, dedicated and steady in their pursuit of the Highest Reality, approached the sage Pippalada carrying sticks of fuel to request his guidance.
Six men have come together with a shared goal. They are focused on understanding the fundamental nature of existence, which they call Brahman. They are not casual visitors; they have already committed themselves to this path. By carrying fuel, they show they are ready to serve the teacher. They believe Pippalada possesses the complete knowledge they are looking for and have come to him as humble students.
A group of apprentices arriving at a master's workshop with their toolkits already packed. They do not come to watch from the sidelines, but to work. The tools in their hands represent their readiness to do the necessary labor before they can be taught the secrets of the craft.
