The Final Destination

Prashna Upanishad 5.7

ऋग्भिरेतं यजुर्भिरन्तरिक्षं सामभिर्यत् तत् कवयो वेदयन्ते । तमोङ्कारेणैवायतनेनान्वेति विद्वान् यत्तच्छान्तमजरममृतमभयं परं चेति

Meaning · English

Different hymns lead to different realms, but the wise use the single sound Om to reach the Highest, which is peaceful, ageless, and fearless.

There are various sacred chants that lead to specific layers of existence or knowledge. However, the sound Om serves as a direct bridge to a different state. This state is described as the Highest. It is characterized by a total lack of movement or disturbance. It is a place where aging, death, and fear no longer exist because it is beyond the reach of physical decay.

A person might climb several small ladders to reach different balconies of a building. But an elevator takes them straight to the roof. The various hymns are like those ladders, while the single sound Om is the elevator that carries the seeker directly to the highest point.

अलग-अलग मंत्र अलग-अलग लोकों तक ले जाते हैं, लेकिन बुद्धिमान लोग उस सर्वोच्च, शांत, कालातीत और निर्भय लक्ष्य तक पहुँचने के लिए केवल ॐ का उपयोग करते हैं।

कई पवित्र मंत्र हैं जो अस्तित्व या ज्ञान के विशिष्ट स्तरों तक ले जाते हैं। हालाँकि, ॐ की ध्वनि एक अलग अवस्था के लिए सीधे पुल का काम करती है। इस अवस्था को सर्वोच्च कहा गया है। इसकी विशेषता पूर्ण स्थिरता और शांति है। यह एक ऐसा स्थान है जहाँ बुढ़ापा, मृत्यु और भय का अस्तित्व नहीं है क्योंकि यह शारीरिक क्षय से परे है।

कोई व्यक्ति एक इमारत की अलग-अलग बालकनियों तक पहुँचने के लिए कई छोटी सीढ़ियाँ चढ़ सकता है। लेकिन एक लिफ्ट उसे सीधे छत पर ले जाती है। विभिन्न मंत्र उन सीढ़ियों की तरह हैं, जबकि ॐ की एक ध्वनि वह लिफ्ट है जो साधक को सीधे उच्चतम बिंदु तक पहुँचाती है।
