Meaning · English
Whoever thinks Brahman is not, becomes as if not. It wished, 'Let me be many,' worked inner heat, made all this, and entered into what it made.
Brahman is the reality under everything. Whoever decides it is not there becomes hollow, as if absent too. Whoever knows it is, others recognize as truly present. Two questions follow: after death, does the one who does not know reach that further world, or does the one who knows? Brahman wished to be many. It burned with inner effort, made all this, and stepped inside it, becoming both the seen and the unseen, the named and the nameless, the true and the untrue. So all of it is called the real.
Drop a spoon of salt into a glass of water and stir. The salt vanishes from sight, yet every sip tastes of it. That is the picture of reality entering what it made. It is no longer visible as a separate thing, but it is present in every part, which is why everything here can be called real.
