Power Native to Him

Shvetashvatara Upanishad 6.8

Meaning · English

He needs no deed and no instrument. None is seen equal to him, none above. His power is said to be many-sided; knowing, strength and action are his nature.

Every maker we know has two things: a job to get done and a body or senses to do it with. He has neither. There is no task he is obliged to finish, and no hands or organs he has to work through. Nobody is found to match him, and nobody stands over him. The old teachings report his power as taking many forms. Three are named: knowing, strength and acting. None of them is borrowed, earned or added later. They belong to what he is.

A wood fire needs a match, dry kindling and someone blowing on it. The sun needs none of that. Its heat and light are not fetched from anywhere or switched on by a tool; they are simply what the sun is. His knowing, strength and acting work the same way, with no instrument and no outside supply.
