Meaning · English

Some describe the creator as having five feet and twelve forms, governing the rains. Others see him below, in a chariot with seven wheels and six spokes.

Different people perceive the source of life through the patterns of time. The five feet represent the seasons, and the twelve shapes represent the months of the year. These patterns describe how the creator manages the natural world and the weather. Other perspectives shift the focus downward, using the imagery of a chariot's wheels and spokes to map out how the creator exists within the physical structure of the universe.

Consider a clock face. The gears and hands move in fixed cycles to tell the time, but the clock itself is the machine making those movements possible. The seasons and months are the hands of the clock, while the creator is the internal mechanism driving the cycle.
