Meaning · English
Those who follow the rule of Prajapati and have children reach this Brahma-world. It belongs only to those in whom discipline, restraint, and honesty are established.
This verse names who reaches this Brahma-world. It is the householders who keep Prajapati's rule of restraint from verse 13 while raising a family. But the world is theirs only if austerity, restraint, and truth are established in them. Verse 16 then speaks of a different, stainless Brahma-world. So this world is a real attainment, yet distinct from that pure one.
Two different hiking trails that start at opposite ends of a mountain but meet at the same summit. One trail is a wide, family-friendly path, while the other is a steep, narrow climb. Both hikers arrive at the same view, though their journeys were completely different.
